The Executive Order along with the Federal CARES Act which came into effect on March 27th naturally raises a number of questions for landlords throughout Florida. Can landlords eviction for non-payment of rent now? What other types of situations can landlords evict for? Can landlords serve 3-day notices now? What situations require a 30 day notice under the CARES Act? Can landlords charge late fees and other types of fees? Can they enter into payment plans with tenants? How are property managers and landlords dealing with these limitations? When will this process all clear up?
